Established March 2026Burnham Green Farm
We are converting 70 acres of arable Hertfordshire farmland
The land was purchased in March 2026, a single arable field, without fencing or services, open and exposed to the prevailing winds. But we saw it as a field of dreams, our dreams! A field with possibilities, the chance for us to improve the soil, increase the biodiversity and build a diverse, organic mixed farm.
Our aim is to produce food for the local community with transparency and integrity; led by nature and the seasons.
Over time, the farm will become a mosaic of separate fields of pasture for our Native Breed livestock, a market garden producing vegetables and fruit and a flower farm to encourage the pollinators.
About Us
Mother and son, business partners, both having a passion for farming with nature. For the last few years we have been running a small holding producing lamb, hogget, pork and chicken for a small number of very loyal local customers.
We’ve held on farm events such as Supper Clubs, Pumpkin Picking and Family Fun Days. We enjoy showcasing our produce and meeting our customers.
This new venture will allow us to increase our offering both in variety and scale as well as engage even more with the local community.
Our scale is changing but our principles of high animal welfare, regenerative farming and the belief that we are custodians of the land and a wish to leave it in a better condition than we found it, will not change.

The Land
We are gradually transforming the land into a diverse, mixed organic farm, bringing together livestock, crops, hedgerows and wildlife.
A key part of our vision is to introduce new hedgerows and trees throughout the farm, creating smaller fields and connecting different habitats across the land. As they mature, these will provide shelter for livestock, food and nesting sites for birds and insects, as well as creating valuable corridors for wildlife.
The fields themselves will be home to a mixture of herbal leys, pasture and seasonal crops. Growing a diverse range of plants helps support healthy soils, provides nutritious forage for our animals and creates a more resilient farm that can support a wide variety of life.
We want the farm to feel alive and interconnected, with livestock, crops, trees, hedges and wildlife all playing a part. It is a long-term process, but over time we hope to create a productive farm that is also a rich and varied landscape for generations to come.
What We Produce
Pasture-raised lamb and hogget
Outdoor-reared pork
Free-range chicken
We specialise in Native breeds of lamb and pork. All slow grown, with animal welfare at the forefront of what we do. They live a natural life outdoors, grazing and foraging.
From Spring 2027, we will be introducing vegetables from our Market Garden and home grown flowers from our Flower Farm. Locally grown, delicious, flavoursome produce.
